INTEGRATING A FOREIGN COLLEAGUE
INTERCULTURAL TRAINING
Expatriation
Working with
a team in an
international context
When a foreign colleague arrives in the company, it can be useful to think
about areas that will help your new colleague adapt favorably and so optimize his/her collaboration. The objective is to avoid rejection and incomprehension, which often appear because of overlooking the cultural gap.

If we want to take advantage of a foreign colleague's diversity, there are certain actions that will help him/her to adapt. In this context, it is wise to set up
measures that encourage communication and foster smooth integration.
This integration inevitably includes having people alter their perception of others
as well as themselves

Training Objectives
• To analyze one's own way of communicating
• To immerse oneself in the other's culture
• To adapt lessons learnt from past experiences to the country's values
• To acquire fundamental behavior that helps accept the other
