"Diversity is a source of enrichment"
The advantage of working within an international team is that common objectives are often shared from the very start.
 
The work of an international team can be defined in terms of the synergy that
will be produced, which theoretically, will be better than what you could
produce alone.
 
In practice, all too often, each entity of the team behaves as though the other
does things in exactly the same manner and unwittingly ignores the origin of
all the social, environmental and historical differences. These factors, however, contribute to a whole system of thoughts and values. If not taken into account,
this can result in a misguided or inappropriate approach, which can undermine
or harm the collaboration.
 
So that diversity is seen as a positive element and not as a threat, it is important
to become aware of one’s own strengths and weaknesses and then to do
the same with the other person. Armed with this knowledge, it is possible
to find levers of action allowing everyone to move forward.
The key lies in communication and having an open approach.
